About

Working under the pseudonym Pneumasombre, my work is rooted in my Native American heritage and the complexities of cultural identity. I draw inspiration from the emotions left unspoken and the darker, more introspective dimensions of the human experience, exploring the delicate tension between identity, vulnerability, and belonging.

My paintings explore the space between abstraction and embodiment. Through biomorphic forms, restrained palettes, and layered surfaces, I construct psychological landscapes where organic structures emerge, dissolve, and transform. Depicting a place or object is not my objective, but rather the impression of fleeting moments in our everyday lives. My goal is to create an emotional space that is quiet, uneasy, and contemplative. To experience and embrace the tension between beauty and discomfort.
